Wood Pallet Options
Southern yellow pine, oak, mixed hardwood, and heat treated - we stock what Florida businesses need.
The most common wood species for Florida pallets. Strong, affordable, and widely available. Standard GMA and non-GMA configurations.
Premium durability for heavy loads and reuse cycles. Oak and mixed hardwood last significantly longer in high-abuse environments.
Three 2x4 stringers running the pallet length. Available as 2-way or notched for partial 4-way forklift access.
Nine wood blocks between deck boards for true 4-way forklift entry. More durable and better for automated systems.
Required for international export through all Florida seaports. IPPC stamped and documented.
Built to your exact specs - any dimension, any wood species, any deck configuration.
Wood vs Other Materials
Cost
Wood pallets cost $8-22. Plastic runs $25-75+. Wood wins on upfront cost for one-way shipping every time.
Repairability
Broken boards on wood pallets can be replaced on-site. Plastic cracks and must be fully replaced. Wood wins on lifetime cost for return pallets.
Availability
Wood pallets are the most available pallet in the supply chain. Large Florida inventory means faster delivery and lower costs.
Sustainability
Wood is renewable. Recycled wood pallets are among the most sustainable packaging options. Our buyback program keeps them in circulation.
Common Questions
The most common size is 48x40 inches - the GMA standard. Other common sizes include 42x42 (drums), 48x48 (square loads), and 36x36 (beverages). We carry all standard sizes and build custom dimensions.
A standard GMA 48x40 holds 4,600 lbs in racking and 2,200 lbs dynamic on a forklift. Block pallets handle heavier dynamic loads. Custom-engineered pallets can be built to specific requirements.
Grade A pallets are in like-new condition. Grade B have cosmetic wear but full structural integrity. Grade B costs less and is the most common recycled option for non-food applications.
For domestic use, no. For international export through any Florida port, yes - ISPM-15 certified and IPPC stamped. Some food and pharmaceutical customers also require HT for domestic use.
Call us. We run a pallet buyback and recycling program across Florida. Usable pallets we purchase back. Non-usable pallets go through our recycling partners.
